A Coalition for Progress

Attempting to lure business to individual communities today takes significant resources that few communities have on their own. Joining forces with neighbors by pooling resources, capabilities and infrastructure is what it takes to provide the means necessary to land business recruitment projects.

This concept led to the formation of the South Central Louisiana Aviation Initiative . The goal of the original initiative was to provide additional work for aviation business in the region and promote additional business opportunities that develop with increased aviation activity. The initiative soon grew into a regional partnership including Lafayette, Iberia, Lake Charles and Alexandria . Shortly thereafter with support from Louisiana Economic Development the regional partnership became the Aviation Partnership of Louisiana .
